Team,

A great win today contributing to our goal difference. Bit of a slow start, plenty of attacks but no finish, stating that we still need to work on our goal-front accuracy. It took us 20 minutes to start scoring, then 5 in quick succession before half time. An inspirational half-time team talk saw us hungry for more goals but it took another 20 minute gap for anything to happen. A consolation effort and another 5 gave us the final result. As with all good teams, it starts with the defence and they held their line very well, with no real threat from the opposition strikers as the offside rule seemed alien to them.

Raph started us off with a great strike and played a perfectly weighted corner to the head of Rob, which earned today's captain the Man of the Match award. Martin was back to his usual goalscoring self with 4 today - which we seem to take for granted. James G filled in as our 11th man today, never mind the injury and added to our attacking force with a superb run and finish, followed by a similar goal from Raph. Jonathan was in the right place at the right time and finished off a cross from Callum. We welcomed back Jack's pace and tackling ability today and was his usual solid self.
